Hailing originally from Southern California, Frederick “Rick” Fisher, is a true citizen of the State. Growing up in Arcadia, he has lived on Catalina Island, as well as in the cities of Carpinteria, San Diego, Walnut Creek, and now Nevada City.
His father and grandmother exposed Rick to the world of investing at a young age. By the time he left for high school, he was already gaining first-hand experience in managing a substantial family portfolio. In college, he began taking courses in finance and investments, while completing his degree in Business Administration at the University of San Diego. Rick received his Master of Accounting from California State University, Sacramento in 1992.
While in graduate school, Rick found himself managing estates and portfolios for various family members. Over the next seven years, while working in consulting, accounting, and financial analysis he discovered that he had good instincts when it came to financial management and planning. He also had discovered by talking to friends and coworkers, that too many people were not properly planning for retirement or their children’s education.
This year, Rick celebrates 20 years with OFC. He uses his decades of experience to help with portfolio management and client services.
Rick is a Registered Representative with LPL, a member of FINRA/SIPC. He holds Series 7, 24, and 63 through LPL Financial and the series 65 with Ostrofe Financial Consultants, and insurance licenses as well as the CFP® designation.
